Helena Rathbone

As principal second violin beside Richard Tognetti at the Australian Chamber Orchestra for the last sixteen years, Helena Rathbone has played a key part in the orchestra’s phenomenal success. Engaged for the position from England, where she was born and educated, Helena and her husband Jerry have settled permanently in Sydney. This year she gave birth to Jack, her first child, and is on maternity leave from the orchestra. The unfamiliar challenge of taking an extended break from the orchestra she loves is compensated by the joy of becoming a mother.
